What is the Law of Attraction?

The law of attraction states: that which is like unto itself is drawn. Every single thing in the universe has a vibration, thoughts included. Think about tuning a radio, you can’t expect to hear music that is being broadcasted on 100FM to be received on your tuner when it’s set at 92.8FM. It is exactly the same with your thoughts. You must tune your thoughts to match your desire.

What are you giving your attention to?

This is the most important aspect to focus on. What is your dominant point of attraction? In other words, what are you giving your attention to the most? Are you more focused on your symptoms or on healing? Are you using your imagination to create more of what you don’t want or what you do want?

If you are anything like I was, you might be more focused on your symptoms for now. This of course is a totally natural occurrence when you are dealing with something horrible that you can’t ignore. I am not asking you to ignore the symptoms, rather to stop constantly analysing them.

You get more of what you focus on, whether you want it or not

This is the harsh truth of the Law of Attraction. It doesn’t play favourites. Whatever you focus on and expect, will come into your reality. So, if you are predominately thinking about the things you don’t want, you can guarantee that you will experience what you don’t want.

You must find some way of “ignoring” your current reality in order to change your vibrational focus point. Just like neuroplasticity, tuning into every sway you feel will only be making it larger in your world. The same is true in this case. Focusing on the feelings you don’t want to feel will only be keeping them around longer.

How do I ignore my current reality?

Focus on what is working well within your body.

Stop yourself when you think or say something negative.

When you notice the symptoms, make a true positive statement.

Begin to believe that you are in control.

Appreciate something general about your life.

Your natural state is one of absolute well-being

We are meant to thrive in this life. We are meant to feel vibrant, energetic and excited. Of course, we are human beings so we will always experience the entire spectrum of emotions. The goal is not to only feel happy, because that’s impossible!

However the goal is to allow your resistant thoughts to release so your body can return to its natural state of well-being. The only way we can release resistance is through noticing the patterns of our thoughts. Only by noticing, can we actually step out of suffering and into observing. Once we are able to observe our thoughts, we can release ourselves from victimhood.

We no longer have to believe these negative thoughts that are running wild. We no longer have to follow the thoughts down the rabbit hole into a pit of despair. We are now in control of what we choose to believe. If you are finding it too difficult to control your thoughts, try meditation. There is no need to force yourself to do anything during meditation, only to stop your thoughts.
